Quality Manager – Job Description Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and internal standard operating procedures. This role ensures that all manufacturing, packaging, testing, and documentation processes meet established quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
The Quality Manager leads quality assurance and quality control activities, including batch record review, product release, deviation investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), internal audits, and regulatory inspections. They work closely with production, warehouse, and R&D teams to ensure products are manufactured, tested, and packaged according to approved procedures and specifications.
In addition, the Quality Manager ensures that manufacturing areas, equipment, and processes meet cleanliness and compliance requirements before production begins and verifies that quality inspections, sampling, and testing are properly performed throughout the production process.
This position also manages quality documentation, training programs related to cGMP and SOP compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operational quality and product safety. The Quality Manager plays a critical role in protecting product integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining customer trust.
